A new Cornhusker Council Innovation Committee is forming. The Committee will be led by individuals, who are parents of Scouts, community leaders, Scout volunteers, and Scouts themselves.
Scouting for Food is an annual food collection orchestrated by Scouts from Cornhusker Council. Local Scouts distribute door hangers across their towns and return to pick up the food items one week later. Collected food is distributed to needy families throughout the communities of the Council.
The national organization of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to achieve two key objectives: equitably compensate victims who were harmed during their time in Scouting and continue to carry out Scouting’s mission for years to come.
Cornhusker Council has not filed for bankruptcy. Meetings and activities, district and council events, other Scouting adventures and countless service projects are taking place as usual. There should be no change to the local Scouting experience.
Participant registration is now open for the 2021 National Jamboree, to be held July 21-30, 2021 in West Virginia.
