The 2026 “Scouts Read Sacred Texts” event is scheduled for May 7th, encouraging Scouts across the world to engage with their faith’s sacred texts.  The “Scouts Read Sacred Texts” initiative invites Scouts and youth from various faith traditions to read their sacred texts, fostering spiritual growth and reflection. 

The event will take place May 7, 2026 coinciding with the U.S. National Day of Prayer.  Participants are encouraged to read their sacred texts on this day or at any time during that week.

Come out and help Camp Cornhusker set up for the upcoming camping season. Many days to choose from.

Jamboree is more than a destination. It’s the adventure of lifetime. And there is simply nothing else like it on the planet.

What’s a Jamboree? It’s not camp. National Jamboree is 360-degrees of fun, friends and fellowship with hands-on adventure that takes you places you never thought you’d go and challenge you to try things you never thought you could.

National Jamboree will be held at Summit Bechtel Reserve from July 22-31, 2026.


National News

[(Effective September 1, 2023) Two registered adult leaders 21 years of age or over are required at all Scouting activities, including all meetings. There must be a registered female adult leader 21 years of age or over in every unit serving females. A registered female adult leader 21 years of age or over must be present for any activity involving female youth or female adult program participants.
