Our mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The OEC Office and Scout Shop will be closed Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day.  At this time we will begin our summer hours.  Both, the office and the store, will be open M-F 9am-5pm.  In July, we will be closing at noon on Friday's.  

Cornhusker Council is offering the Wilderness First Aid course to help you meet the requirements so you can do high adventure activities this summer. Wilderness and Remote First Aid is a 16-hour course that provides individuals a foundation of first aid knowledge and skills to be able to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate access to EMS response. This includes wilderness and remote environments and urban disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes. This training is designed for individuals who are at least 14 years of age and hold a current certificate in Adult CPR/AED. The course is being offered on the following dates and you must be present at all to complete: Thursday Jun 1st, 6-10pm, Friday June 2nd 6-10pm, Saturday June 3rd 8am-5pm

It’s a Cub Scout Day Camp in the Evening! A great opportunity for Cub Scouts, all boys that have just finished Kindergarten through 4th grade.

Two Saltdog and Scouting experiences in 2017! On June 9th, take the whole family to an evening (and Overnight) at the ballpark. Then, on August 1st, the Lincoln Saltdogs along with the Cornhusker Council will host a day camp for Cub Scouts.

Give To Lincoln Day is sponsored by the Lincoln Community Foundation, in partnership with local sponsors and local nonprofit organizations. Every donation the Cornhusker Council receives on Give To Lincoln Day will be increased by a proportional match from our $350,000 challenge match fund.
