Welcome Drew Wicks, District Executive

Join the Cornhusker Council in welcoming our newest District Executive: Drew Wicks

Drew Wicks comes to the Cornhusker Council with 27 years or experience in retail sales and management. He has previously worked as Asst. Front End Supervisor and Human Resources Coordinator for Russ's Market, Human Resources, Front End, and Store Manager for Toys R Us, and most recently, Tailored Suit Specialist at Dillard's Department Store.

Drew has been married to Casey for 18 years and they have three kids. Rylie, who is a Junior at Lincoln High, and participates in the Arts & Humanities focus program. Axton, who is in the 8th grade at Schoo Middle School, and Stanley, who is a 5th grader at Arnold Elementary. All three are members of Scouts BSA Troop 142. 

As a youth, Drew did the majority of his Scouting with Pack and Troop 83 in Memphis, TN. After moving to Lincoln, he earned his Eagle with the Cornhusker Council through the Lone Scouter program. As an adult, Drew had served as Lion Coordinator, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and WEBELOS Den Leader, as well as Advancement Chairperson and Cubmaster for Pack 97. He is also the founding Scoutmaster for Troop 142, where he still serves. He is a Wood Badge participant, Troop Guide, and Asst. Senior Patrol Leader and has been awarded Distinguished Scoutmaster of the Year for 2022 and was a Salt of the Earth award recipient for 2023.

Drew has greatly enjoyed his time as a BSA volunteer and looks forward to continuing the work as a professional Scouter. In his free time, Drew enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with his family. He also participates in community theater as time allows.
