Upcoming Leadership Trainings – Empower, Equip, Inspire!

We’re excited to announce a robust lineup of leadership training opportunities designed to strengthen our community and empower those who guide and support our youth. Whether you're a seasoned leader or just stepping into a new role, these sessions offer essential skills, fresh insights, and practical tools to help you lead with confidence and care.

Training Opportunities

Here’s what’s coming up:

  • Popcorn University-This training is intended for new and returning Kernels to learn about products, website, app, and more in regard to this year's popcorn sale.  
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid-Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or is in crisis.
  • Outdoor Preparedness: By completing the Outdoor Preparedness program, you will earn your Basic Adult Leader Orientation (BALOO) and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) certifications. 
  • Outdoor Adventures: The Council's Outdoor Adventures program takes your learning to the next level by enabling you to understand some basic aspects of adventure planning, advanced camping, and next-level programming. 
  • Life to Eagle Seminar-This is for the Scout, Leaders and even the parents. Learn about what is required by the Life Scout to reach Eagle. Review the project workbook and the Eagle Scout Application. 
  • First Aid, CPR and AED Training: join the ranks of those who can spring into action when trouble strikes to help people in the moments that matter!
  • Wilderness First Aid Training: This course is intended for anyone planning a remote high adventure experience, including Scouting America High Adventure Bases.
