The 2026 “Scouts Read Sacred Texts” event is scheduled for May 7th, encouraging Scouts across the world to engage with their faith’s sacred texts.  The “Scouts Read Sacred Texts” initiative invites Scouts and youth from various faith traditions to read their sacred texts, fostering spiritual growth and reflection.  This event aligns with the values and principles of Scouting, emphasizing the importance of faith and character development.

The event will take place May 7, 2026 coinciding with the U.S. National Day of Prayer.  Participants are encouraged to read their sacred texts on this day or at any time during that week.
