Upcoming Leadership Trainings – Empower, Equip, Inspire!

We’re excited to announce a robust lineup of leadership training opportunities designed to strengthen our community and empower those who guide and support our youth. Whether you're a seasoned leader or just stepping into a new role, these sessions offer essential skills, fresh insights, and practical tools to help you lead with confidence and care.

Training Opportunities

Here’s what’s coming up:

  • NRA Shotgun Basic: 
  • ECSI Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED: Offered at the SF MBU
  • National Rifle Associates: Range Safety Officer (RSO): Offered at the SF MBU
  • Safeguarding Youth Training Ensure a safe, respectful environment for all youth participants through best practices and prevention strategies. (Offered at the SF MBU)
  • ROHVA Training: **You must have this certification in order to drive any UTV's on Scouting property.***
  • Life to Eagle Seminar: Parents and Scouts that are about to become, or who are, Life Scouts are encouraged to attend. 
  • Outdoor Preparedness-By completing the Outdoor Preparedness program you will earn your Basic Ault Leader (BALOO) and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) certifications. 
  • Outdoor Adventures-The Council’s Outdoor Adventures program takes your learning to the next level by enabling you to understand some basic aspects of adventure planning, advanced camping, and next-level programming. This course is taught by scouters that have experience with all of Scouting America’s high adventure bases and with planning their own high adventure trips within their unit.
  • NRA (BIT) Basic Instructor Training: This training is the first step in becoming a certified instructor/MB counselor for rifle, shotgun and pistol safety courses.
  • Wood Badge-Wood Badge is the premier adult training in Scouting America. In Wood Badge you experience the scouting program, learn leadership skills, and practice teamwork in the patrol method, all while living the values of scouting.
  • MAC Husker Trails College of Commissioner Science: This course offers something for every registered scout leader!  You will be able to select the track you want to study.
  • NRA Shotgun Instructor: This training is another step in becoming a certified instructor/MB counselor for rifle, shotgun and pistol safety courses.
