The district finance chairperson does the following:

• Reports to district chairperson.
• Ensures implementation of council finance policies.
• Serves as Council finance committee member if so, stated in the council bylaws.
• Recruits and trains committee on tasks provided by Council finance committee
• Carries out the annual district Friends of Scouting campaign and meets the goal by the target date.
• Maintains cooperative relationship with the United Way.
• Develops prospects and retains the interest of contributors.
• Supports Council "project selling" program.
• Supports Council endowment development.
• Informs units of unit financing policy.
• Reviews units' funding project applications.
• Achieves district's share of council finance campaigns.
• Supports district activities that involve income and expenses, assuring proper policy and audit control.
