The TEAM is the THEME!
No one has ever camped at Pioneers Park, UNTIL NOW! Troop 12 invites you to join us April 13th - 14th at Pioneers Park for the 2012 Salt Valley District Spring Camporee. Teamwork will be the theme of the weekend. Check in is Friday, April 13th from 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The event ends with the campfire on Saturday night, but you are welcome to stay until Sunday morning. T-Shirts are available for $10 each, but you must place your order with Troop 12 using their order form.
Needed Information
- Ages of boys attending
- When the troops plan to arrive (Friday night vs. Saturday Morning)
- When the troops plan to leave (Saturday night vs. Sunday Morning)
- T-Shirt orders
- Everyone is to enter from the north entrance off of West Van Dorn.
Questions Answered
- Why do you need to know the ages of the boys?
- We will be doing alot of team-building and group dynamic work at this camporee, we would like to keep the age levels somewhat similar for each activity so that an older scout is not paired up with a younger scout.
- What are we to do about trash?
- Units will take their trash with them - we will not be using the dumping facilities at the Park
- Why do you need to know when we plan on arriving?
- Why do you need to know when we plan on leaving?
- Pioneers Park is a secured park, and only a few people will have access to the keys in the area. We would like to know so we can plan to lock and unlock the park when you need it.
Awards That Will Be Given Out
- The Silver Shovel - given to the Troop that has the most accurate campsite as defined by the Commissioner Campsite Assessment form 2011-2012 Campsite Inspection form
- The Golden Skillet - given to the Troop that has the best "Camp Made Dish"
- The Bronze Spirit - given to the Troop that exhibits that best Scout Spirit

T-Shirts will be distributed to your unit during check-in at the Camporee. Indicate the quantity of each size. T-Shirts are $10 each. **Please Note** T-Shirts are all pre-order only.
