Abernethy Climbing Wall

The Outdoor Education Center has a great 3 story indoor climbing wall available to anyone looking for a fun and exciting new adventure. The wall features a natural stone surface and has routes to challenge climbers of all ages and abilities. Instructors are provided for a 2 hour session for up to 12 climbers.

Take your group for a climb. Kids (both young and old) love it!

    Facility Features
    Area Size   Climbing wall is 32 feet tall. Three top anchor points available (only two may be used at any one time)
    Group Capacity   Helmets and harnesses are available for groups of 12 participants.
    Equipment
    Provided
      All ropes, rigging, hardware, and safety gear are provided for both climbing and rappelling.
    Personal
    Equipment
      Helmets, harnesses, and gloves are provided. Shoes must be rubber sole, no street shoes allowed. You may bring your own climbing shoes, helmets, and harnesses but all participant supplied equipment is subject to approval by the climbing instructor. No personal ropes, hardware, or rigging are allowed.

    Requirements
      All rates listed are for a 2 hour group climbing session. There are no individual climbs available. All groups must have a MINIMUM of two (2) BSA certified climbing instructors for any number of participant climbers up to a total of 12. We do not recommend group sizes greater than 12.
    Standard Rate   $150 per 2 hour session - Non-Scout groups
    $120 per 2 hour session - Scout groups
    1st Discount Rate   $100 per 2 hour session - (Scout groups)
    2nd Discount Rate   $80 per 2 hour session - (Scout groups)
    Availability   The climbing wall is available evenings from 5 pm until 9 pm and on the weekends.
