Congratulations to Dick Kohel and Mark Bertsche who have been elected to serve as the Cornhusker Council President and Commissioner for 2018-2019. Their terms began on May 10th at the conclusion of the Annual Business Meeting.
Dick Kohel, CFO, LincOne Federal Credit Union, was elected to serve as the Council President. Dick has served the last 4 years as Council Treasurer and has served on the Executive Board for 15 years. He is an Eagle Scout, former Scoutmaster and has four sons who are Eagle Scouts. He has been awarded highest honor a council can bestow on a volunteer the Silver Beaver. As Council President, Dick, will provide overall leadership for the council as determined by the Strategic Plan.
Mark Bertsche, Director, Talent+, was elected to serve as the Council Commissioner. Mark has served on the Executive Board for the last 2 years. He has led programs for board engagement and has served as a Camp Commissioner at Camp Cornhusker. Mark has been a Scoutmaster in Madrid, Spain while serving in the US Navy. Mark has two sons- one is an Eagle Scout, one is a Life Scout. As Council Commissioner, Mark, will provide overall leadership to the District Commissioners and their Commissioner staffs.
