NE 150: Diverse Origins Program

NE 150: Diverse Origins Program Sponsored by Cub Scouting at Nebraska State Capital Building and Grounds will take place Saturday, April 8 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

The core programming will be a set of about 6 activity stations among which people will move at their own pace. The stations will be ancient biology, Native Americans, explorers, immigrants, as well as a station on Civil War veterans and Lincoln.

This is a free event in the Capitol and open to the public. The aim is to target the activities and youth in grades K-5, perfect for our Cub Scout families.

Activity Stations include
•Ancient Biology: Find a fossil in the rotunda
•Native Americans: Walk with Standing Bear
•Pioneers: Pack your wagon
•Underground Railroad: Choose your path
•Civil War Veterans: Join a regiment
•Immigrants: Learn a language & play a game
•I Spy: Explore art around the Capitol
