Training Chairman

The district training chairman does the following:

• Reports to district program chairman.
• Establishes district training objectives to train leaders, not just run training courses.
• Participates in council meetings dealing with training policies, program and procedures.
• Recruits and orient training committee and course instructors.
• Prepares an inventory of all leaders who need training.
• Plans, schedules and coordinates an annual district training program based on training inventory.
• Maintains unit and district training records.
• Offers training opportunities to every unit leader.
• Promotes attendance at all training courses.
• Gives special assistance to untrained unit leaders.
• Approves applications for district training recognition.
• Gives special attention to training new units and new leaders of existing units.
• Tracks and attains training objectives.
• Implements council training program.
