Scoutmaster Specific Training

Scoutmaster Specific Training

"Success in training the boy depends largely on the Scoutmaster's own personal example." Who said it? If you guessed Robert Baden-Powell - you are correct! Now, let's set a good example by attending and completing Scoutmaster Specific Training!!!!

Why Is Training Important?

  • Training is important because you are surrounded by others in your position that have the same questions that you have. It is also important because you are able to learn from the experience of others that have been in your position before.
  • Training is also important because if the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster does not have "Scoutmaster Specific Training," then your Troop will not be able to Re-Charter in 2012.
  • Lastly, training is important because it will help you with your unit's Journey to Excellence score in 2012.

So, LET'S GET OUR TRAINING DONE! I am sure that the Scoutmasters that waited to complete their training can attest that the phone calls, emails, and letters from the Salt Valley Training Committee are not fun to receive.
