The Salt Valley District covers all of Lancaster County and all of the units associated with the LDS church. Cities and towns served include Lincoln, Waverly, Valparaiso, Malcolm, Bennet, Denton and Hickman.

Effective September 1 2011, Coventry Nebraska Medicaid has partnered with the Boy Scouts of America Cornhusker Council to provide memberships for youth ages 5-16 as a benefit of the Coventry Nebraska Doc Bear Club. Coventry Nebraska will cover the cost for a Boy Scout annual membership (Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Ventures) and Boys' Life magazine for one year.
It really is an opportunity for scouters as a group to have an opportunity for an equal exchange of ideas. Boy Scout and Cub Scout leaders and interested parties meet together to discuss relevant issues in our troops and packs today.
The Salt Valley District Winter Camping Award is an incentive for Boy Scout Troops to promote winter camping.
