Prairie Winds District

The Prairie Winds District covers all of the western part of the Council including the counties of Polk, Butler, York, Seward, Fillmore, Saline, Thayer and Jefferson. Some of the cities served include Stromsburg, Rising City, David City, York, Seward, Crete, Milford, Geneva, Hebron and Fairbury.

Announcing New Rules for the Prairie Winds District Pinewood Derby

Beginning with this year's Pinewood Derby, we will be using a brand new set of rules. These rules are based on rules used in the past but written with the following concepts in mind;

Announcing the Prairie Winds District Directory

Coming in early 2012, the District will release a District Directory. The purpose of the directory will be to improve communication between unit, communities, commissioners, parents, scouts, and the district operating committee.

Free Membership in Scouting NOW Available

Effective September 1 2011, Coventry Nebraska Medicaid has partnered with the Boy Scouts of America Cornhusker Council to provide memberships for youth ages 5-16 as a benefit of the Coventry Nebraska Doc Bear Club. Coventry Nebraska will cover the cost for a Boy Scout annual membership (Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Ventures) and Boys' Life magazine for one year.

What is Roundtable and why should YOU Attend?

This letter is to let you know about an opportunity you have to help the Prairie Winds District become the best in the Council. Each month scouters from the district meet together for the District Roundtable.
