What is the Cost in 2013?
The cost for a Scout to attend Jamboree in 2013 will be $2,550. This price is based on current air fare prices, and may adjust slightly as we approach the jamboree. It will only increase if the price of airfare drastically increases though.
The Jamboree Fee takes care of the following for a 13 day Scouting Adventure;
- Air Fare
- Hotel (while in Washington D.C.),
- Your Jamboree registration fee,
- All camping eqiupment needed for the jamboree (other than personal items),
- All food during the entire trip
- All Bus Travel, to and from the airport in Nebraska, and to and from the Jamboree & while touring
- All Tour fees related to the Washington D.C. Tour
- Troop-Specific Jamboree uniforming items
- Several Activity Shirts for the jamboree
- luggage for jamboree (this is essential, because you will have to camp within a specific "footprint" we will make sure your prepared for this)
- Trained, Experienced, and Excited Adult Leaders that will make sure your sons have an experience of a lifetime.
- Basically everything except personal items and spending money for souveniers!
Payment Schedule for Youth
$150 down payment for each participant must be received by the Council Service Center before the Scout will be included officially as part of the Jamboree Contingent.
Remaining Fee: $2,400
After the participant has registered for the Jamboree, and their down payment has been processed by the Council Service Center, the Service Center will work with the applicant to develop a payment schedule for your Scout.
The goal is to make sure every Scout who would like to attend Jamboree will have the opportunity.
Payments can be made in several ways
- Cash, or Check Payment in Person or via the U.S. Mail at the Outdoor Education Center located at 600 S.120th Street Walton, NE 68461
- Card Payment in Person or over the phone at the Outdoor Education Center
- Via your MyCouncil Acct (Click on Order History, and the Click on the Remaining Balance in Red to make payments toward the trip)
